Recipe: Crispy Baked Chicken
Ingredients:
Chicken parts: drum sticks, thighs, boneless breast strips (wings if you want)
2 Eggs
1/4 Cup of Milk
Dash of Hot Sauce (Optional)
1 Cup Panko
1 Cup Regular or Seasoned Breadcrumbs
1/2 Cup Grated Parmesan Cheese or Similar
1.5 Cups of All Purpose Flour (Can also use Gluten-Free Flour)
1 tbsp. of Paprika
1 tbsp. of Garlic Powder
Salt & Pepper
Steps:
Preheat Oven at 375ºF (190ºC)
Grab three wide bowls for Double Dredging Chicken pieces
Bowl 1: Mix egg, milk and hot sauce
Bowl 2: Mix flour, salt and pepper
Bowl 3: Mix Panko, regular breadcrumbs, grated cheese, paprika and garlic powder
First: Dip and coat Chicken piece in egg mixture
Second: Toss and coat Chicken piece in with flour mixture
Third: Dip Chicken piece back again in egg mixture and coat it
Fourth: Toss and coat in Breadcrumb and Panko mixture
Place Chicken Piece on wire rack over a baking pan. Then repeat with the rest of the pieces
Bake in oven at 375ºF (190ºC) for approx. 45 mins until the coating is crispy brown and internal temp of chicken pieces are above 165ºF (74ºC)
