Recipe: Crispy Baked Chicken

Ingredients:

  • Chicken parts: drum sticks, thighs, boneless breast strips (wings if you want)

  • 2 Eggs

  • 1/4 Cup of Milk

  • Dash of Hot Sauce (Optional)

  • 1 Cup Panko

  • 1 Cup Regular or Seasoned Breadcrumbs

  • 1/2 Cup Grated Parmesan Cheese or Similar

  • 1.5 Cups of All Purpose Flour (Can also use Gluten-Free Flour)

  • 1 tbsp. of Paprika

  • 1 tbsp. of Garlic Powder

  • Salt & Pepper

Steps:

  • Preheat Oven at 375ºF (190ºC)

  • Grab three wide bowls for Double Dredging Chicken pieces

    • Bowl 1: Mix egg, milk and hot sauce

    • Bowl 2: Mix flour, salt and pepper

    • Bowl 3: Mix Panko, regular breadcrumbs, grated cheese, paprika and garlic powder

  • First: Dip and coat Chicken piece in egg mixture

  • Second: Toss and coat Chicken piece in with flour mixture

  • Third: Dip Chicken piece back again in egg mixture and coat it

  • Fourth: Toss and coat in Breadcrumb and Panko mixture

  • Place Chicken Piece on wire rack over a baking pan. Then repeat with the rest of the pieces

  • Bake in oven at 375ºF (190ºC) for approx. 45 mins until the coating is crispy brown and internal temp of chicken pieces are above 165ºF (74ºC)
